FOX8’s new teen drama, Slide, begins filming in Brisbane tomorrow.

The multiplatform drama follows the unpredictable exploits of a group of teenagers as they prepare to face life after school.

The 10-part drama will be produced by Playmaker Media and Hoodlum.

The cast features Gracie Gilbert, Brenton Thwaites, Ben Schumann, Adele Perovic and Emily Robins (pictured).

The series is aimed at an audience of 17 to 25 year-olds and draws upon youth for its story development.

“Slide is an ambitious Australian drama,” said Director of Television, Brian Walsh, “and one that has seen many different 17-year-olds sitting in on the writing rooms to help with its sense of realism.”

  5. i found the song on itunes theres heaps of variations of it i cant find the exact version yet but the songs I Need Some Lovin by Casanovy enjoy!

  10. My dad filmed SLiDE and it is really really good, trust me. The cast is really nice as well. I’m in a couple of episodes and an extra in almost all episodes. 😀 the clothes are so cool as well … I get given most of them XD

  11. I think it’s going to be great, when it comes out, I bet everyones gonna say, “I want to be in that”.

  12. Hoodlum does some awesome stuff, and really interestingly incorporates multiplatform. They are really fresh.

    I like that they have some teenagers helping with the scripts.

    The names mentioned for main cast have some fairly experienced, beautiful young actors. I’m going to be checking it out on the first night. I’m not going to wait for the rave reviews this time.
