US Psychic John Edward must know a thing or two about the energy coming from The Circle.

He’s given it his personal endorsement as his favourite chat show.

Yesterday he appeared on the show telling the girls, “I’m happy to be back here and I say this privately so I’ll say it publicly….this is my favourite show in the world to do. I just wanted to come and hang and say ‘hi.’

“I had a book come out in the States and had to do the rounds and every tv show and media I did, I kept finding myself compare it to The Circle. This is a real energy,” he said.

  1. No matter what people say, all people are Psychic and to say they are not is just cultural ignorance. John Edward is seen here without being able to cold read. It’s real, do some research yourself, better yet become in touch with your psychic side…

  2. I’ve actually been to one of his gigs. I’m interested in magic and anyone who has seen a mentalist like Darren Brown perform knows how amazing those tricks can be. Edwards got less than half his guesses correct and did not identify anything at all specific that he couldn’t have got from ticketing information. He got a lot of people pretty emotional though.

  4. Anthony, if you’d ever been in the audience you’d know that such a thing doesn’t happen. It’s so eay to throw around accusations when you’ve never actually been to see what happens.

  5. Edward I think is a charlatan. Cold Reading also involves analysing microexpressions, it’s a similar technique to what British personality Derren Brown uses. It’s his favourite chat show because they are gullible and naive enough to fawn over him, the same applies to the 7PM Report when they interviewed him. His presence on Australian television is a sad reflection of Network Ten’s audience.

  6. @John Jackson – Yeah I have seen Chrissi once or twice on the 7PM Project and loved her on it, I just meant I wish she had a regular primetime gig. But I’m sure she will at some point down the track – she is so warm and natural. Just try not to like her! 🙂

  8. It’s hilarious when people just say of any psychic at all “they’re just cold reading” when they don’t even know what cold reading is! It just gets used as a catch-all catch-phrase dismissal so that you don’t have to think about whether it’s real or not. Cold reading involves asking fishing questions, looking for tell-tale signs in what someone is wearing (e.g. wedding ring), etc., none of which applies to the way John Edward works, if you actually watched him (e.g. he specifically states not to give him any extra information at all, etc.), but if you wanna stay in denial about it…

    I haven’t (paid) to see him either, but I have heard transcripts of the show, lots and lots of them.

    It’s hilarious that anyone is stupid enough to believe he’s Not cold reading.

    Re him not being a charlatan, in the immortal words of Python:

    “I say you are Messiah, and I should know. I’ve followed a few”

  14. Catfan, because you can’t fake what he does. You’ve obviously never watched him and have him confused with someone who really is a charlatan (they’re out there, but he’s not one. A sceptic who’s never been to see him will say “he just uses cold reading”, but if you go see him you discover he doesn’t do cold readings at all, quite the opposite).

  17. The Circle is the only thing I watch on my days off… Has anyone else noticed that as the ratings grow, the number of “Shopping Oppurtunities” also seem to be growing???

  23. I watch it every now & then rather than the others & Chrissy is a real natural for sure as is Denise but for me four is a crowd.I won’t divulge which one i mean.
