John Howard without an anecdote
Former PM John Howard appeared on The Circle couch today, without a shoe thrown or even an anecdote dropped.

From PM to the chat show circuit, former PM John Howard appeared on The Circle couch today on TEN.
Plugging his new book, Howard was asked about his time in the office by Gorgi Coghlan, Yumi Stynes, Chrissie Swan and guest host Tim Ferguson (filling in for Denise Drysdale).
The topics ranged from career highlights, regrets, kissing babies, power walks, his wife Jeanette, and Peter Costello.
But after some twelve live minutes, it’s debatable whether he managed to say anything we haven’t heard before, which isn’t much chop when you’re trying to flog a book.
Memo to publisher: Every good guest needs an anecdote.
Wonder whether he will try and get himself onto Oprah‘s Book Club?
Meanwhile, every member of The Circle audience left the show with a free copy of the book.
That’s what you get for not throwing a shoe.

mmm, yeh nice embedded video by the TEN site. So 2004.
Tim Ferguson looks so out of place
I wonder if the audience were told to take off their shoes and leave them at the door…
