LifeStyle Channel appoints Head of Commissioning

Buoyant pay TV group LifeStyle Channels has established a newly created position of Head of Commissioning, announcing Emma Westcott in the role.
Westcott’s most recent role was Head of Features for Diverse TV (Zodiak Group) in the UK working on a variety of programs such as Save Our Holiday, Home Movie Road Show and Pet ER. She was also the Commissioning Editor at Channel Four developing Grand Designs, Relocation Relocation, Property Ladder, You Are What You Eat, 10 Years Younger and Jamie’s Italy. Her portfolio of work includes executive producing the Mummy Diaries, How to Look Good Naked, Grand Designs Live, Supernanny, Open House and Selling Houses.
Channel manager Nicole Sheffield said, “We have an enormous commitment to local productions for the LifeStyle Channels and earlier this year we moved to a commissioning structure to ensure that we secured and managed the best formats for LifeStyle.
“Emma is a highly experienced commissioning editor and to secure someone of her calibre for this position is testament to the LifeStyle Channels’ continuing success. I’m excited by the next phase of our growth and know that having Emma in this role puts us in a fantastic position for some outstanding Australian productions.”
Westcott added, “I am delighted to be joining XYZ at such an exciting time and continue to build on its reputation for commissioning award-winning programs and developing home grown talent and concepts.”
Westacott has relocated from the UK to take up the position and will commence on Monday November 15.
