Parenthood: Season final?

Parenthood's "Season Final" are actually episodes Three and Four of Season Two.

Seven ads for tomorrow’s double episode of Parenthood brand it a “Season Final.”

It’s actually episodes Three and Four of Season Two.

‘Nuff said….

It starts at 8:30pm Tuesday.

  1. TEN has been doing the right thing for the most part ‘final …. of 2010″

I think last nights ratings were for the 2 hours, it would be good to know how it did in the first hour.

  2. Last night’s ratings were not flash for parenthood. Hopefully that and cougartown are back next year. As for the season final it was the australian ratings season final. Maybe all networks should put that on their ads.

  3. Echoing most comments on here. As I have mentioned in the past, I lose the plot when the networks “pad” the seasons with “special” episodes. There is no continuity of storyline and I am tired of being taken for an idiot. I just don’t watch them now and view my shows elswhere.

  4. I’m just now watching the universe from 7mate on saturday and there is an ad for Caprica which said “final episode for 2010” (it also called it a season final but since it is the same place america ended they aren’t too far off) so 7 can do this when they want to. I also like to think that saying it was just the last one for this year indicates that they do have some intention to show us the rest of the episodes next year, wishful thinking perhaps.

  5. Really sick of watching an old epp. of NCIS or Boned for 10 Minutes only to remember its an old one and by the time the new seasons start I am usually so peeved off with not knowing where I am up to I just quit.
Networks are just taken it for granted we will tolerate being treated like idiots.
Network executives are out of touch and one wonders if even Young Murdoch and Packer are in touch enough with modern demands to make TEN a power in the new era,we can only hope.

  6. @jakevin
Its obvious that because Seven has ended the year in #1 weeks back that it has decided to save as much new content as possible for next year. Bones, Criminal Minds and Parenthood will end this year being 4 episodes into the new seasons. Networks do it all the time. Nine is doing it, Ten is doing it Seven is doing it but i still feel Seven pulled the pin on New episodes too soon this time.

Nine have a habit of advertising New episodes of things all the damn time and they are actually repeats. At least Seven don’t say it is New. With Bones, Criminal Minds this week they were not advertised that way where as Nine and The Mentalist was advertised New, Two and A Half Men New but it was a repeat. What a load of crap that turned out to be. I always know though via the promo that its a repeat and don’t watch. Simple as that.

  7. @ jakevin I was wondering what had happened to new Bones too. Get your act together Seven and stop saving them for next year!! And where the heck is new Castle??

  8. Why is every good show on TV thrown into the trash. I’m about ready to give up on TV altogether.

It’s about time the TV stations woke up and kept delivering some quality TV shows such as this one they are axing early.

  9. In the end it really doesn’t matter, fan will know the truth and the rest won’t care, what I want to know is will there be any break between the 2 Parenthood eps Tuesday night or like City Homicide will it fade to black then back to the next ep with no credits?

  10. What’s wrong with Channel 7 these days?

Also, 2 weeks ago I saw an episode of Bones that was definitely a repeat and onscreen it said “New Episode Bones” at the beginning.

Why has Seven stopped airing new Bones David?

  11. Channel 9 did this with the original CSI a few years ago, it may have been the season final (due to end of ratings year for us), but it was not the appropriate final episode(s) of the season at that current time.

  12. I think there needs to be stricter controls on the ‘wording’ of adverts and the like. It is like my issue alst week with a ‘new’ episode being advertised and showing a repeat.

It screams false advertising and misleading! Where can we get action like this started!!!

QWell Done on Ch10 saying final epsidoe of 2010

  13. I agree with @J Bar, the ads should say 2010 Finale or Final Episode for 2010 so it doesn’t confuse fans. Channel Ten has labelled the ads for NCIS the ‘Final Episode for 2010’, as Ten may not screen re-runs of NCIS this summer, as what the TV guide says. I think they should be labelled as the Final Episode for 2010 when the show isn’t on in summer, or the ‘Final New Episode for 2010’ when shows will be repeated.

  14. It’s false advertising IMO and use it should be ‘2010 Final’ or mid season final, like with Burn Notice. TEN is advertising it as the season final even thought it’s the mid season just like they has in the US a few months back, FYI they have just came back and are showing the remainder of the 4th season right now.

As for Parenthood it’s not even the 2010 final, if you want to be technical, that happens this week in the US with ep 10 of the second season. And while we’re on it when will it return here, not until June with the Rafters or will that time slot be take by their new show ‘Winners & Losers’?

  15. all the channels have been doing this for years, no doubt in attempts to fend off all of the angry phone calls from fans annoyed that they are taking there show off the air for non-ratings that they are sure to receive,

  16. I was gonna comment on this earlier. Seven have been advertising “season final” for their shows, but Ten have been advertising “last episode this year”. Seven are pathetic, and yes its false advertising. Get on em ACMA

  17. All the stations do this. I think either House or CSI was advertised as a ‘season final’ just recently. Perhaps they mean our season and not the actual season of the series? To avoid confusion they should say final episode of the year or something.
