Patricia Arquette confirms end of Medium

Patricia Arquette says Medium is ending in December, to wrap with its 13 episodes for Season 7.

So far there is no official word from the CBS Network on the future of Medium.

It was downgraded to 13 episodes this season.

But Patricia Arquette has told one news outlet the show is ending.

Here’s an excerpt from Showbiz411:

And then: she confirmed that Medium, her six year TV series, has been canceled. Since she played a psychic on the show, couldn’t she have predicted that?

“I did! I said at the beginning of this season, we’re doing 13. Save your money!” CBS ends the series in December.

The series came to CBS after its initial run on NBC.

In Australia the new series hasn’t fared too well on TEN, being pulled off air after two episodes, presumably destined for the summer schedule or ELEVEN.

Arquette is said to be heading back to film.

  1. This was an awesome show. I can’t believe it is over. I have been watching since the beggining. Wow, time flies. Now my Friday nights will entail flipping through channels and hoping to find something exciting to watch. I am so going to miss Medium!! SMH

  2. My mom and I watched this show since the beginning. I know it’s just a TV show but we really grew attached to the entire family/cast. Patricia Arquette and Jake Weber played an exceptional couple. We adored this entire cast. I’m really sad to see it end so abruptly. This show will be missed.

  3. I’m pi**ed that the Medium season ended. I dont understand how there was no warning about this. This has far as I’m concerned was the best show on Television in a terrible time slot. I own all the seasons of Medium on DVD. I love Patricia Arquette. The cast of the Dubois family are amazing. My family know all there names especially Ariel, Bridgette, and Marie. Lets not forget Joe. He was also amazing in Dawn of the Dead, but thats not important right now. I have a daughter 20 and another fifteen, They grew up with the Dubois family for the last seven years. And were in tears at this last no warning episode. Why is this happening! The writing was amazing! The best onTV. The acting awesome. Producer Glenn Gordon Caron. Kelsey Grammar my hero Executive Producer. This really sucks. This show should of never ended. And I’m also pi**ed no cast or crew member has a face book page.!

  4. that may explain why in my jarmies last sunday with tim tams, chips n dip and a lime spider I settled in to watch Medium which I have returned to like a cowering ex asking for forgivness and take me back and they repeated Juno!

I havent been committed to Medium for a few seasons now but the first two of this season had so much to offer I got hooked again. I felt that pang of love lost and I wanted it back.

I look forward to re-aquainting myself with the family again when it comes out in a box set.

I’m sorry. If I had of spent more time with you this would never of happened.

At least her husband will get some sleep now

  5. does the american network switch affect the output deals here? will 10 have rights to the whole lot or will it be up to one of the other networks to air (or not air) the final episodes?

  6. I agree with brisvegas: they did the same to NCIS in regards to repeats in between new eps which has seen me stop watching after many years as a loyal fan. That said, it really has nothing to do with what happens in the USA, what ever Ten did, Medium would still be ending. 🙁

  7. I think it “jumped the shark” ages ago & that’s why it’s not rating.
I used to be a fan when it first started … but not anymore, which is a shame.

  8. The reason I got put off medium is the same reason i got put off house – too many repeats getting put in between new episodes. Bumping it out to later times didn’t help either.

  9. I suspected this may be the case but it’s still depressing 🙁 They could have at least finished with a complete season. Ah well all good things come to an end eventually and there are plenty of episodes to go back and watch again.
