The Real WAGs of Oz

Foxtel's interest in its very own answer to a Real Housewives format for Australia is now eyeing a project with WAGs.

Foxtel’s interest in its very own answer to a Real Housewives format for Australia is now eyeing a project with WAGs.

The Herald Sun reports Rebecca Twigley, fiancee of Brownlow medallist Chris Judd, has been approached to be part of the series, along with Nadia Coppolino, girlfriend of Geelong player Jimmy Bartel. Both have declined the request.

Jodi Gordon, who dates rugby league player Braith Anasta, is also believed to have turned down an approach.

“It is not just footy WAGs they are interested in,” an insider said.

“They are looking for partners of AFL players, partners of NRL players, a cricket WAG and maybe a soccer WAG.

“There would be maybe five or six (partners of sportsmen) being followed (by cameras).”

The concept has been rumoured in the media before, including incorporating housewives from Sydney and the Gold Coast.

The 10 part series is tipped for FOX8.

  1. How is this good? Foxtel producing American trash…. considering the core audience of Fox is lower and middle class people, shows like this that flaunt richness in peoples faces is simply disgusting

But then, considering the amount of idiots with comments like “yes please” and “good get Foxtel” I think we know where TV and audiences are heading in this country.
