Looks like a switch is coming to Nine’s summer schedule with The Middle to be replaced at 7pm.

From Tuesday December 21st it’s the horrific idea of Australia’s Funniest Home Videos stripped as a half hour show.

Nine also played it last summer.

Just heard recently that Larry Emdur might be coming back to Nine.I hope it is true and it is in the form of hosting The Price is Right in 2011.There is only so much the Middle or 2.5 men one can take and for the true die hard fans of either why not buy box sets at your local sanity or similar store.

Nine have seriously lost the Plot since the Price is Right and Temptation days ended not all that long ago.Relying on US Sitcoms and Repeats or Funniest Home Videos as 7pm offerings after News and Current Affair might work over the summer but for the other 40 something weeks of the year put on something Nice that is Fresh and New on weeknights for a change.I do miss things like My Two Dads or My Two Wives but how about a 21st century take on either.

  3. I know this sounds ridiculous but are Nine being infiltrated by saboteurs,seriously the only show left on Nine worth watching and it gets replaced by………don’t even know why I would comment on this.

Nine should seriously invest in a family friendly home grown sitcom like what we had back in the my two wives/all together now/bob morrison days of the nineties not crap like 2.5 men or the Middle or Funniest Home Videos for 2011 and beyond in the absence of a Price is Right or Sale of the Century Game Show.
    I have an idea for them bring back Looney Tunes Cartoons to show between 5 and 6pm and Move Hot Seat to 7pm.

  6. if the ”Funniest Home Videos Show” was actually ”funny” then sure, air it over summer. But since i haven’t laughed at a clip in years, i won’t be watching. Just put on The Middle.

  8. In regional Queensland we get A Current Affair at 7.00pm but I have to say if I was to choose between The Middle and Funniest Home Vids I’d much prefer The Middle. It’s a great show. Luv it!!!

    we want the middle!!!!!!!
    this would at least give a new show a chance to build an audience. i dont understand what they are hoping to achieve by having AFHVS on instead?

  10. Are you people crazy? This is good news, it means The Middle isn’t going to turn into another Two And A Half Men for 9. The nightly eps would only be repeats anyway. It’s fine the way it is.

  11. Anything is better than 2.5 men at 7pm and less of it would be better.If you have watched some of the earlier ones with Kandy on there as Alan’s second wife You could be forgiven for watching what is essentially a male version and an americanised one at that of My Two Wives.

  14. i know this is a shocking thing to say but i would rather two and a half men than this the normal series of australias funniest home videos must be the cheapest show to produce on earth

  17. Appalling, put somehing nice on than seeing people falling of their bikes and seeing houses crashing down AFHV on just once a week is enough, we don’t need our daily fix of the show! But glad it will be a shorter season than last year, since the One Day series starts on January 16 and won’t be on air for many days.
