24 movie back on
Update: Or is it?

The on again-off again feature film version of 24 has been confirmed by Kiefer Sutherland.
When last mooted, the script was rejected by FOX but this week the star confirmed it will begin shooting in 8 months.
Speaking (briefly) about the film, Sutherland said.”It’s a very difficult thing to take something you’ve done for eight years, almost two hundred episodes, and try to find a story that’s going to be unique and yet service the history of the show as well.”
Meanwhile he is heading to the stage to star in a Broadway revival of the play That Championship Season, with Chris Noth (The Good Wife, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Sex and the City).
Update: A FOX publicist has since contradicted Sutherland: “Unfortunately, Kiefer is overly optimistic.
“The project is still in development, with no director attached. All the other details have been reported.”

I hope so…I miss Jack and his man bag.
I’m a huge fan of 24…but the movie won’t do well if season 7 and 8 are anything to go by. (the ratings in Australia alone were terrible). Just look at the X-Files movie I Want To Believe…a terrible movie and it didn’t do well.
Yes, somehow, “24 the Movie” Will happen.
As will any other Phoenix Fox can Finance.
Fox is such a hungry beast, it’ll finance anything to feed its Hydra of Entertainment.
Quality?
We can only dream…
Who’s to say that FOX is doing it. The Extra link is a warners site. Warners might be making it.
Best news all day. Very very happy!

Great news. Hope the movie turns out to live up to the series
There don’t seem to be anymore good serial action shows on these days…even Prison Break wasn’t so bad in its first few years. I’m not counting The Event, couldn’t get into that one
