The ABC has picked up British crime drama series, Accused.
The 6 part series comes from Jimmy McGovern’s RSJ Films. McGovern is currently developing Redfern Now for ABC1.
Each episode of the drama centres on a lead character or group of characters accused of a crime sitting in the holding cells of a high court. As they are called to the courtroom to hear the verdict and begin the walk to the dock, the story of their crime is revealed in flashback.
It features Christopher Eccleston (Lennon Naked, Doctor Who) and Mackenzie Crook (Pirates Of The Caribbean) plus Juliet Stevenson, Peter Capaldi, Andy Serkis, Marc Warren, Naomie Harris and Warren Brown.

Any idea of airing date?
Is it me or has Ecclestone just been in garbage since Dr. Who? He used to be a favourite actor but the nadir was G.I. Joe.
Brilliant – I was hoping!
I thought this wasn’t a patch on “The Street” also from McGovern.
