Craig Ferguson on Australia Day

US talk show host Craig Ferguson gave a fleeting Australia Day shout out last night on his show.

US talk show host Craig Ferguson gave a fleeting Australia Day shout out last night on his show.

Well, it was one line, but it’s the thought that counts.

He sent the greeting “to all our Australian viewer” (hmm… has he been reading the ratings?).

Pick up at 1.45 sec….

  1. I love him & his show.

I thought it was great he knew it was Australia Day
    (obviously someone told him)
And loved Jennifer Love Hewitt’s reference to Tim Tams
I remember here on “Rove” when he told her how to do that.

  2. Watching that reminded me of the warm up guy, who said to us during a taping that the host telling an audience to ‘settle down’ or similar was Hollywood code for 10 more seconds of applause!

  3. I became acquainted with Ferguson through the infamous Dr. Who opening, and now I watch it religiously. I only wish 11 would show both the interview with Matt Smith and Alex Kingston.

  4. Loving Craig Ferugson.

Not only is the show very funny, it also has a top theme song – right up there with Ship to Shore and Murder She Wrote 🙂

  5. During his letters segment, he briefly mentioned that the show is only broadcast to Canada & Australia outside the US. Attempted to confirm this through Wiki, but I could only find one reference to Eleven.

  6. @Jack – yes I know it was a joke (hope it was)

… and the 26th makes sense, even though web sites list guest for the day, in this case the 25th. Craig’s show actual airs after 12 midnight, so the 26th.

I agree Ferguson is under rated and I hope CH11 keeps with him.

  7. Ball!

I love Craig Ferguson. It’s hilarious. I think Craig is just happy having another 35,000-60,000 people watching him on a regular basis because he makes fun of the US viewers and CBS for not really paying attention to him, particularly during the episode with Larry King last week.
