As previously noted, The Cape takes place in the fictional Palm City and follows a cop who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit and forced to go into hiding while he attempts to clear his name. He takes on the the persona of his sons favorite comic book hero The Cape and sets out to fight evil. The cast also features James Frain (True Blood) and Summer Glau (Firefly).

There’s not much yet in the way of reviews, certainly very little from the major players, however one blog says, “The setup and back story of the show are pretty good, and Lyons is solid and sympathetic as the honorable and valiant Faraday/The Cape. David has a lot of fun with his role as Max, and Frain is suitably menacing….”

  1. The first part about the cop being framed and going into hiding to clear his name reminds me of the 90’s show Renegade..

He was a cop, and good at his job. But he committed the ultimate sin, and testified against other cops gone bad. Cops that tried to kill him, but got the woman he loved instead. Framed for murder, now he prowls the badlands. An outlaw hunting outlaws, a bounty hunter, a Renegade. …

Sounds cheesy but it was a great show!
