Check out Kate Winslet in the HBO remake of Mildred Pierce, the classic 1941 novel that became one of Joan Crawford’s best films.
Todd Haynes directs this five hour miniseries which also features Guy Pearce as Monte Beragon, and Evan Rachel Wood as Veda.
It is scheduled to air on HBO in March.

Evan Rachel Wood was terrible in True Blood and now it looks like she will ruin this. What a casting disaster in what looks like a great series. It’s one of my favourite films of all time.
Loved the film. This however looks like a bunch of over indulgent garbage. I for one will not even give this the time of day.
I’m sure I saw a promo for this recently on showcase(coming in 2011 promo of shows, boardwalk empire was another I saw as coming to showcase in 2011, amongst other shows).

Lets hope some aussie station buys it or it will go straight to dvd
