TEN shows were big winners at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards in the US yesterday.
House, Glee, Lie to Me, Hawaii Five-O, The Simpsons, and Dexter all cleaned up.
“I am so proud to be a part of this show,” Jane Lynch said of Glee. “And I hope schools continue to start those glee clubs that our show has inspired.”
Nine shows did well with $#*! My Dad Says, Conan, and Fringe while How I Met Your Mother, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Grey’s Anatomy, which air on Seven, also scored.

I’m glad Fringe won something as I too think it’s the best North American science fiction show. I also like it being on Ch 99.
Who the hell votes for most of that rubbish!
The only show listed I watch is The Simpsons
@Jerome.. not entirely sure of how the ratings system works in the US, but if it was in Australian terms I would vote for Fringe, as I do watch the show but I wouldn’t be registered as a viewer as I don’t have a ratings box.
some surprises there; Fringe, Lie to Me and $#*! could be axed by the end of the season, why don’t all these voters watch their shows instead. and after all the ratings records Jersey shore has broken it couldn’t beat kardashians?
i watched the show last night.they were the worst award show i have ever seen. When Jane lynch won her award as she was getting up the voice over lady just announced that glee won for favourite comedy (without showing the nominees) and the other cast members got up and followed her onstage. same thing happened to Adam Sandler (who won for favourite comedy star) as he was making his acceptance speech it just came up on the screen that Grown Ups had won for comedy picture (shows how the voting went)
How amazing : a category “Favorite TV Chef”!!
I really hope Hawaii Five-0 is a winner for Alex O’Loughlin & the viewer.
He is a fine aussie actor that deserves a hit.
And americans must agree as he has gone from one series to the other.
And easy on the eye…..
