David Hasselhoff briefly recreated Baywatch yesterday when he hit Bondi Beach to promote an ice cream, at a rumoured $250,000 fee.
The actor, 58, arrived on the beach in a rubber surf lifeboat accompanied by red-swimsuit female lifeguards.
He signed autographs and chatted to beach-goers, and told media he had a love affair with Australia.
He said he previously visited these shores for the 1999 episode of Baywatch Down Under. So a long distance love affair, perhaps?
The former Knight Rider star told News Limited, “The Hoff action started here and now, wherever I go, I’m no longer David Hasselhoff, I’m ‘The Hoff’. So my message is – don’t hassle The Hoff!”
Deep. Thats what you get when your reality show is cancelled.

Kate Gosselin and kids were there filming their show on Saturday, as well. Someone on Twitter posted a pic.
…And Baywatch has just started screening again here on 73 (I hate the 7mate moniker).
Despite having rough times recently, got to admit The Hoff keeps busy and seems to enjoy life.
