NBC trims order for The Cape
Bad news for Aussie actor David Lyons as NBC cuts the episodes of his US series.

Bad news for Aussie actor David Lyons (Sea Patrol, A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne, ER) with word that NBC has cut the episodes of his US series The Cape.
It has been trimmed from 13 to 10 episodes.
The series launched modestly in January with less than 9 million viewers, but the latest series had dropped to 5.3 million viewers.
The show, which does not yet have an Aussie network attached, gained mixed reviews from critics.

Ten would’ve had this through their Universal supply deal. If you’re going to do a hit TV show with a ‘super hero’, make sure they actually have superpowers, or have ultra kickass fighting skills if they have no powers, otherwise viewers will very quickly get bored.
I gave it three episodes and gave up… very ordinary show.
Never a good sign.
