About three years ago I wrote with some excitement about a new project that had been announced for Ryan Murphy. As a big Nip / Tuck fan, I knew that a little musical project called Glee would be worth paying attention to.
Now Murphy and Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk are returning to the FX Network for a new drama pilot, American Horror Story (which doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a horror theme!).
No details on the premise have yet been revealed but the pilot will be directed by Murphy an production begins in April.
“American Horror Story is a project that Brad and I have been discussing for a while,” Murphy said. “[FX president and general manager] John Landgraf and I have maintained a wonderful relationship since Nip / Tuck ended its run and he gave me an open invitation to develop a new show for the network.”
Murphy also Glee won’t be overlooked as American Horror Story gets underway.

I wonder what will happen to Glee if it’s picked up? At the moment, only Ryan, Brad and Ian Brennan write the episodes. Maybe Ian will become the head writer and a writing staff will be hired, unless Ryan and Brad work on both series. I guess Josh Schwartz can do it…
If it’s on F/X it will be naughty.
i forgot that glee creator ryan murphy also created nip/tuck one of my fav shows. it’s good when creators can have success in more than one show.
They need to drop the ‘American’ from the title.
