  1. This is an inventive and creative show again from the ABC. Enjoyed the last season very much. I think this upcoming season will be very good a lot to talk about. Especially since the natural desasters in Queensland. I hope the tough questions are asked by the audience. For example why is it that when it comes to the infrustructure and services which are needed every day why is it that governments local, State and Federal penny pinch and become prudes but when a dissaster comes like this they are forced to spend the money to fix it. In some cases more than they normally would have if they had invested earlier. Anyway looking forward to this and Tony Jones is awesome.

  2. I really don’t get why they need tos how this live on ABC News 24, there’s no need to have it live for the Eastern states. I live in Perth, and I am happy to watch it on delay. It’s easier that way. Besides because of the three hour time difference at the moment, there’s no way I can get to a tv set at 6.30p when I’m busy at that time, having a life with family . If your desperate to watch it live, use the web, pretty sure it’s streamed live anyway.

ABC News 24 could use that hour to air some news programs or something. Not waste it on Q&A.

  3. Was hoping things would change this year, but they’re continuing to waste ABC News24 for AEDT viewers who’d like an alternative like Newsline With Jim Middleton which now gets dumped on Mondays (will only be seen from Tuesday to Thursday now).

I don’t care about people in other states who want to see it live. You can always stream it from Q&A’s own website, or maybe Queenslanders should vote for daylight savings when it next comes up.

  4. Like someone else observed on twitter, hopefully this will be more like an episode of the Jerry Springer show. Maybe even a little bit of WWE thrown in there.

  5. Great lineup first week! Deveny is fabulous to watch – interesting to see if she is even a smidge more demure, or as interruptive (no such word, i know) and argumentative as ever. Williamson even with his massive ego is always erudite and Gerard and Richo give a good bang for their buck!
