The renewal by FOX will keep the series on the network through to the 2012-13 US season.
The series follows the lives of ultra-conservative CIA agent Stan Smith (MacFarlane) and his eccentric family.
It airs in Australia on 7mate.

Agree with the current vibe. Family Guy at it’s peak was great too, but man it’s hit a brick wall in the last couple of seasons. American Dad is the new king.
So it should be, funniest of the animation line up by far!

cartoons in HD…the difference must me amazing
Oh Yes! The series started of really rashy due to the too much focus on Stan Smith himself. But as the seasons go by, the storyline becomes better and interesting than Family Guy (No offence! although I love Family Guy too) as it focuses on the entire family. I’m quite enjoying it more in HD too, so it helps alot!
