Returning: The Footy Show

Both the AFL and NRL Footy Shows return to Nine early in March.

Nine’s Footy Show (both AFL and NRL) will return to screens on Thursday March 10th.

In the case of the AFL edition, it marks a new chapter at a hire space at Melbourne’s Dockland Studios.

AFL:
Join the multiple Logie Award winning Footy Show, starring Garry Lyon, James Brayshaw, Sam Newman, Billy Brownless and Shane Crawford as they go where no other show dares. Plus regular favourites, Street Talk, Sam’s Mailbag and Almost Football Legends.

NRL:

  1. No one in Sydney watches the NRL Show. Considering they have 2 digital channels, they should show the other code live – 11:30pm is just too late to stay up.

  2. I don’t watch the AFL show because there is no footy content. I watch the NRL version though even if it’s at 11.15. I actually find it better and they actually talk about the game.

  3. It’s not even a footy show (afl)
It is a show about a bunch of d******s who egos are bigger then the game
Wish 7 would bring back talking footy- know that a footy show!

  4. Ok, Nine you have TWO digital channels at your disposal, how about putting the late showing Footy Show in the respective cities on the Digital channels rather than airing them late.

It’s really irritating. I can only take Sam Newman these days when I’m not battling my own weariness as well. Oh well…

  5. in 2010, the NRL version ran overtime in just about every week. I just hope that this year, they stick on schedule, so i can watch as much as possible of the AFL version

  6. When did Benji Marshall become ‘Big Benji’? I don’t think he’s ever had that nickname. Nor is he particularly big. Nonetheless it’s good that he’s apparently been upgraded to a regular, he can be pretty quick-witted at times.

  7. I can’t wait to see what Sam Newman has to say about the Nick Riewoldt nude photo scandal. I reckon he will revisit the subject on a weekly basis, should be really funny. I don’t watch the show for the football content, just the comedy.
