Allison Langdon heads to the US for a story that begins two years ago with couples Carolyn and Sean Savage from Ohio and Shannon and Paul Morell from the neighbouring American state of Michigan. They were complete strangers; the only thing they had in common was that their frozen embryos were stored at the same IVF clinic. Through a simple clerical error, the Morell’s frozen embryos were stored under Shannon’s maiden name… which just happened, to be Savage.

So many things have changed for Jen in seven years, but the one constant through it all has been Jake, a local builder from Toukley. And last December, their fairytale had its happy ending when Jake proposed on a holiday in New Zealand. Charles Wooley interviews Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall, their first TV interview since their engagement. They also head to her home town, Homesville, just outside of Newcastle to chat with her parents Robert and Gail.
Reporter: Ray Martin
Producer: Stephen Taylor
Ray has just spent a fortnight in the region, including a week in the Libyan capital Tripoli. It’s a chaotic and unpredictable place at the best of times. Right now it’s downright dangerous, but Colonel Muammar Gaddafi is not the kind of man to bow to public opinion- even now with allied bombs and missiles raining down on him. Ray also interviews 38 year old Saif who is one of seven Gaddafi sons and Dr Zied Mhirsi, a medical volunteer at a refugee camp on the Libyan border.
It airs 7:30pm Sunday on Nine.
