Filming continues for Hawaii Five-0

Hawaii Five-0 star Daniel Dae Kim tweeted about the disaster: “Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. My family and I have moved to high ground.”

In Episode 15 of Hawaii Five-0 a tsunami threat approaches the island and authorities prepare residents for evacuation.

Today TEN will aire Episode 8, so we are still some way off seeing the episode which has now been mirrored in real life.

Star Daniel Dae Kim tweeted about the disaster: “Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. My family and I have moved to high ground. Now we wait…”

Executive producer Peter Lenkov, in LA, later tweeted: “Cast & Crew safe. All at high ground. So far it’s wait and see. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.”

A spokesperson from CBS Television Studios said, “Hawaii had no land damage we are told, and therefore production is shooting today.”

Cougar Town recently visited Hawaii to film their season finale but has since wrapped and already returned to the mainland.

Meanwhile Jimmy Kimmel has been holidaying in French Polynesia and has been tweeting about how scared he was.

Later he tweeted that the island was being evacuated but then added, “We are back, officially “unevacuated”. Thanks for your kind words. It was scary. Best wishes to our friends in Japan and all affected.”

  1. Thanks for the Cougar Town spoiler.

Good news they are ok on the Hawaii Five-0 set, kind weird they did a tsunami ep not that long ago.

Compared to Japan it looks like the US and south America escaped the worst of the tsunami, still waiting to hear from the 100s of smaller islands in the Pacific.
