Jason Dundas takes an “amazing race-style” challenge around Sydney. The Great Race is a non-stop, exciting team race to the finish line. With fun challenges along the way, it’s a sensational new way to see the harbour city.

Meanwhile, the show also sees Jennifer Hawkins filing a story from London.

Jennifer Hawkins jets off to London for a preview of the upcoming Royal Wedding, with everything you need to know about the most anticipated wedding of 2011. Prince William-lookalike Andy Walker is the tour guide as Jennifer checks out Westminster Abbey, where Prince William and Kate Middleton will marry on April 29.

She also visits the royals’ jeweller and the cake shop rumoured to be baking the wedding cake, as well as catching up with England’s number one royal-watcher, James Whitaker, to get his opinion on the nuptials and how the marriage will affect the public.

Ben Dark ventures to West Papua, one of the final frontiers on Earth. He visits the remote Misool Eco Resort in the Raja Ampat Islands, a divers’ paradise believed to have the richest coral reefs in the world and the most species of coral and fish.

Kate Ceberano finds a larger than life fairytale place to take in the kids in the NSW: Hunter Valley Gardens, with over 24 hectares of gorgeous greenery, eight kilometres of walking tracks and a train that will entertain the family.

Meanwhile Jules Lund finds the biggest and greatest sand sculpture exhibition in Australia. Each year the town of Frankston in Victoria plays host to some of the world’s most amazing sandcastles. This year the theme is “creepy crawlies” and Jules speaks to the talented artists to get tips on creating the perfect sandcastle.

It airs Thursday at 8.00pm on Nine.

  1. I experienced ‘The Great Race’ adventure this afternoon as one of those ‘team building’ exercises at work and can thoroughly recommend it. The guys running it told me they filmed the segment in January 2010 and after waiting all this time never expected Nein to ever screen it. I haven’t watched Getaway for many years but will check out this segment before flicking over to ABC2 for Party Down.
