More Sundays for ACA

Nine has committed to two more A Current Affair Sunday night editions, with Karl Stefanovic as host.

Nine has committed to two more A Current Affair Sunday night editions, with a network amendment confirming April 3 and April 10.

Karl Stefanovic is listed as host.

Until now the show had been a last minute change, sometimes not even coded in time for OzTAM ratings and EPGs.

TV Tonight understands the Sunday edition isn’t yet a permanent fixture for Nine and is subject to how it performs.

Figures for last Sunday were down somewhat, but TEN did have the Australian F1 Grand Prix.

  1. What is it with all the TV channels of late, overkill on current affairs. I miss that I can switch to Channel 10 to watch the Simpsons while all the other channels have the news.

This is the first year where I have seen coverage of things last for days and days eg floods. I know that news is important but it was too much. You couldn’t really escape from it.

Channel Nine will do what they want anyway. Look at Monday nights now Two and a have men vomit then Million Dollar boredom. I know Shatner wasn’t a laugh riot but it was something different. What I don’t understand is they got rid of Shatner but are keeping on the unfunny Mike and Molly, is there something I am missing here, I don’t know.

  2. I just don’t see any point. If there is a serious story that needs to be told then they should be putting it on 60 minutes.

They could do with better segments at the moments

  3. l read on another website that the Sunday ACA is now permanent, with Karl hosting until new host is found,Leila McKinnon will get the job for choice.Tracy declined the extra night hosting.

  4. Karl Stefanovic! another annoying host that nine keeps trying to flog!! Clueless is what comes to mind when I think of nine execs. Again you lose viewers based on who is chosen to host. A Sunday edition would be the perfect opportunity for them to try someone new, someone that doesn’t rely on the autocue for their personality, like Karl does.
