Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan, who was born in Lincoln, south of Christchurch, returned to Christchurch following the devastating earthquake.
There he caught up with the Mayor Bob Parker, whom he worked with in television 30 years ago.
It’s not the first time disaster has crossed his path, although under different circumstances. TAR raced through Sri Lanka and New Orleans shortly before the Asian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina respectively.
