It’s not official, but Futurama voice actor Maurice LaMarche has confirmed that the series has been picked up for a seventh season.
Comedy Central renewed the show for a sixth run in 2009, the second half of which is due to air from June.
But LaMarche has revealed in a video post: “13 new episodes have been ordered, with an additional 13 optional. This is apart from the 13 episodes that will air beginning in June 2011 on Comedy Central.
“They will air in 13 episode blocks… so that means there will be new Futurama in (US) summer of 2012, and most probably in summer of 2013 as well.”
LaMarche is the voice behind Morbo, Kiff Kroker, Calculon, and Hyper Chicken.
UPDATE: Officially renewed!

Your Hypno-toad at work. Thankfully.
Good News Everybody!
they kept renewing that crap cartoon King of the Hill for 11+ seasons yet canceled this fantastic and way funnier cartoon too early.
now it’s moved to a new network who know a good show when they have it.
Great news for Ch11
Proves what idiots Fox are, yet they still get money from it.
Excellent news!
confirmed by tvbythenumbers. Futurama picked up for 26 episodes!! Woohoo!
This is great news, Futurama was cancelled way too early, and the season last year was really good.
