SKY reporter receives journalism award

SKY News political reporter Ashleigh Gillon is recognised by the National Press Club for fair reporting.

SKY News political reporter Ashleigh Gillon has been presented with the prestigious National Press Club’s Wallace Brown Award by Foreign Affairs Minister, Kevin Rudd, in Canberra this morning.

The award recognises outstanding young journalists for fair reporting in their first years of working in the Australian National Press Gallery.

Angelos Frangopoulos from SKY News said: “We’re all very proud that Ashleigh has been recognised with this prestigious Award and we’re privileged to have her part of our national affairs team.

“She is great example of the quality journalism and professionalism to come from subscription television and SKY News.”

Gillon is part of SKY’s coverage of the NSW State Election this Saturday March 26.
