APRIL 20 :
ARTHUR – starring Russell Brand and Helen Mirren. Thirty years after Dudley Moore brought Arthur to our screens, Russell Brand reprises the role of the young millionaire playboy too busy partying in New York, accumulating romantic conquests or simply getting drunk to pay much attention to his family’s honor.

INCENDIES – Adapted from Wajdi Mouawad’s acclaimed play, Incendies tells the powerful and moving tale of a mother’s last wish to send her twins Jeanne and Simon on a journey to Middle East in search of their tangled roots – a core of deep-rooted hatred, never-ending wars and enduring love A short interview grab from Denis Villeneuve (Writer/Director) will be posted on the ATM website.

THOR – starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman and includes interview with Kenneth Branagh. The powerful but arrogant warrior Thor is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.

David reviews John Ford’s 1956 DVD Classic THE SEARCHERS starring John Wayne, Vera Miles and Ward Bond.

APRIL 27:
THE LOST BLADESMEN – A tyrant forces the greatest warrior in the land to battle his greatest friend by holding the woman they both love hostage. A Chinese film directed by Felix Chong and Alan Mak.

BABIES – This documentary takes a look at one year in the life of four babies from around the world, from Mongolia to Namibia to San Francisco to Tokyo. Directed by Thomas Balmès.

MRS CAREY’S CONCERT- A documentary. High School Music Director Karen Carey, puts on a concert every two years at the Sydney Opera House. She insists upon a demanding repertoire, and the participation of all 1200 girls in the school. Not everyone shares her passion – Includes interview with (Writers/Directors) Bob Connolly & Sophie Raymond.

At the Movies airs 10pm Wednesdays on ABC1.

  1. I coulda sworn I saw a reference to a re-screening of the original Arthur coming up. Now I can’t see it for looking! Thort it was on Go! Can you enlighten me, was I dreaming, has it passed, did I miss it?

  2. Looking forward to seeing Thor….only to see whether Home And Away’s Chris Hemsworth’s acting has improved any. He could’nt act for peanuts on Home + Away. His acting was shocking at best….totally shocking…..
