Big Brother reunion

A Current Affair hosts a reunion for former housemates of Big Brother -and Mike Goldman.

2011 as the year of TV reunions continues with A Current Affair hosting a reunion tonight for Big Brother.

There are 13 former Big Brother housemates, plus Mike Goldman, appearing in a group interview with Ben McCormack.

They include Sara Marie Fedele, Reggie Bird, Pete Timbs, Jemma Gawned, Peter Corbett, David Graham, Camilla Severi, Bree Amer, Trevor Butler and more. No Gretel Killeen?

Given the series is returning to the UK what do ex-housemates think about a possible Aussie revival?

It airs at 6:30pm tonight on Nine.

  1. I hope Nine has the sense to bring this back. When Ten screened the first one back in 2001/02 It spared us for at least three months of every year possibly more of outdated American Comedies.

A funny topic in the Adelaide paper going back that far was how someone wanted to vote all the contestants out and bring back Seinfeld.

  2. Network 9 must own the right to big brother, to show this on there netowork, with the previous house mates and footage of the previous shows that channel 10 have rights to =) and to also call it Big Brother 10 years with the logo and the theme song! Network 9 Own the rights to show this!

I Think my Feeling is Right That Channel 9 Are going to bring back big brother if you want to support its return please attend the event at this site and have your vote “bring it back” facebook.com/event.php?eid=163997516989846 Big Brother would have not made it without the public, its now our turn to decide who stays and who goes just like it always was! big brother is staying! !!!!

  3. I Think Channel 9 Are Going To Re-born Big Brother, There has been talk of this for years and there return has never been denied, I think Channel 9 Are Testing The Ratings On This, I Love The Show !

Remember Everyone Big Brother Was Never Evicted So It Will Be Returning!

  4. yes well said Shazamac and tvaddict it could do well on nine it has had a break of almost 3 years so it could do ok definatly worth a gamble the could do it like the UK did have the highlights and evictions on the main channel and all other shows on gem or go heck they even could have a 24 hour live stream on gem or go ok ok i will stop dreaming now

  5. well said Shazamac, nine don’t have much going for them at this point so its worth a shot for them, some might say an expensive risk but look how much money they must’ve spent on all these short term shows that have failed. They can spend the money they are saving from paying for the rights to show poor rating (supposedly) Wimbledon, to fund BB & finally have something that will rate its socks off in the 7pm timeslot. Plus they can bring back the ‘up late’ aspect to the show because their late night selection is pretty poor too.
Love it or hate it was a ratings winner & from the voting alone surely they can’t lose money on it. From what i recall it only started to rate poorly on the last season, probably due to overkill but now people have had a break from it they can start over & mixup the format a bit to make something fresh.

  6. How fantastic would that be! I miss this show so much. It was different and a lot of fun. It does seem odd that they put this special reunion together. Please channel nine all of your other shows have gone down the gurgler put it on to replace Two and a half men! It couldn’t be any worse than that:)

  7. I’m wondering why?
why was it on 9 when the show was on 10?
does it mean the ‘rumour’ may be correct?
does it mean 9 are looking at reviving it?

I would be so happy to see it come back… 🙂

  8. No Gretel? And yes…Friday night games was sometimes fun to watch. It ‘s a rare possibility we’ll see BB again as the UK has risen it from the dead on 5.

  9. Is it definitely a ‘friendly’ reunion or are they going to get them all on there and yell at them for bringing the standards of the nation down (according to the likes of John Howard)? 🙂
