Charlie Sheen booed offstage

Charlie Sheen's live Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour has bombed in its first outing in Detroit on the weekend.

Charlie Sheen’s live Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour has bombed in its first outing in Detroit on the weekend.

Fans began walking out of the show within the first ten minutes. Others stayed to heckle.

The sell-out show, which barely lasted an hour, has been described as “hodgepodge of video clips and Sheen-isms that felt hastily assembled.” No doubt that’s being generous.

It included Sheen giving aimless philosophical monologues, clips of his old movies, writing a live Tweet, a video of Snoop (who was a no-show) and the ‘Godesses’ singing the National Anthem.

As one account on EW.com tells it: “The show is now an unmitigated disaster. There’s a fairly steady stream of people leaving early. Attendee Chris Acchione, a self-described Sheen fan who traveled all the way from Toronto for the show, says his entire mezzanine row walked out. “He’s making a fool of himself,” he says. “Is there a bigger loser in the world? He’ll be [begging] Chuck Lorre for his job back by the end of the week.”

  1. I actually find this really sad. The man is quite disturbed and yet people (his people) are still willing to allow him to humiliate himself for the sake of the money. He has children and family who must be suffering as he does this. The children must be very confused about all of this. Get him help, not more money. He’s not being smart, he is being manipulated and it is very sad.

  2. What did people expect. This guy us just off the planet at this point. I did laugh when he said to a heckler I’ve already got your money dude.

If people just ignored him then he would stop receiving all this attention. Unfortuantely he still has his fans and he is lapping it up and making millions out of it.

  3. The perfect example of this wise observation:
Ego leads to Arrogance, arrogance leads to Ignorance!

All this embarasing behaviour by Sheen is a very, very sad chapter in entertainment history!

  4. Charlie Sheen’s pulled off the most awesome April Fool’s Day joke ever – managed to convince people he’s a comedian and worth shelling out $$$ for tickets! Impressive.

  5. LOL people pay hundreds of dollars to see Charlie Sheen on stage and are surprised it’s crap…I’m surprised he didn’t just chant “winning” the whole time.

  6. I get the impression that no matter of good or bad Sheen was, he was going to be booed and heckled regardless. Honestly, that’s why it was a sellout in the first place, so the audience could humiliate him!
