Australia, you have been warned….

The Comedy Channel unleashes Balls of Steel Australia upon unsuspecting viewers next week, the UK prank format is hosted here by The Chaser’s Craig Reucassel.

Britain’s unstoppable ‘Neg’ is even here to foist his ‘Urban Sports” gags upon members of the public.

Amongst the Aussie jokesters are Game Show Host (James Kerley), Bunny Boiler, Fame Whore, Very Foreign Correspondent, Flatmate Wanted, Just Come Out Guy, The Annoying Devil and Nude Girl (yes she really gets nude).

It airs 9:30pm Tuesday on the Comedy Channel. At your own peril.

  1. uk version is much better, the australian one is alittle try hard and corny but stil funny. I think fame whore is lame and the game show is not funny at all.

  2. What ridiculous nonsense, and I pity the poor people who don’t know they are being filmed… it could cause serious back fire for them. And why bother bringing it to Australia when it is going to be exactly the same as the UK version anyway… What a crock of shit.

  3. Never understood why a 4th season wasn’t commissioned for the UK series. The demand/popularity of the show could never be questioned.

I’m rapt they brought over Neg, and based on the promos it seems as if they have stuck to the original format as closely as possible, which is probably the way to go.

  4. Always been a fan of Balls of Steel because it makes me giggle inappropriately. I’m glad Neg’s there. But I’m not sure how the Aussie version will fare, but I’ll be interested in seeing how it goes.

  5. I think you little negative people should give a show a go first, then bag the crap out of it if it doesn’t tickle your fancy. Such un-Australian approach of looking at things. I can’t wait to see a program such as this and i am in the 20-24 male demo who this show is probably targeted at. So go and make yourself a cup of tea, read your womens weekly and turn back on your “60 minutes” or “Sons and daughters”… please.

  6. Some of the gags are funny but some are just irresponsible. Jumping on an unsuspecting person’s back could cause them a serious injury if they have a pre-existing condition.

That’s why I like this video of one of these so-called pranksters getting some pay-back.

  7. Puerile = Yes, Foreign Format = Yes, Funny = Absolutely.

Wish commenters would stop bashing populist content… Not everything has to be worthy or scripted.

It is for the Comedy Channel guys… Not HBO. At least the comedy channel is actually commissioning a locally produced show.

  8. I’ve only seen a bit of the UK version but I gather all these dumb things they do are set ups.The bit I saw had some yobs throwing food from a car at 2 burly guys having a hamburger outside a takeaway place. Now if it wasn’t set up why didn’t these 2 burly guys have a go at the yobs ?

  9. Craiig Reucassel, surely you could find a better gig than this? Chaser pranks make you think and inspire debate, this dross only inspires the gag reflex.
