Season final guests include Meshel Laurie, Father Bob Maguire, and comedian and writer John Doyle.

On the season finale of Adam Hills in Gordon Street Tonight, guests include comedian and radio host Meshel Laurie, the always lively Catholic Priest and media personality Father Bob Maguire, and comedian and writer John Doyle, also known as ‘Roy’ of Roy & H.G fame.

Music includes indie-pop band Oh, Mercy and the Soweto Gospel Choir.

Comedian MesheI Laurie has performed stand-up at 14 Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and a sell-out season of a one-woman-show at the Sydney Opera House. She currently presents Breakfast on Nova 106.9, and makes regular appearances on TV shows including Spicks and Specks and Good News Week and The Circle.

Father Bob Maguire is an Australian Catholic priest, community worker and media personality from South Melbourne. Commonly known as “Father Bob”, he was awarded the Order of Australia in 1989 for his work with street kids. His larger than life personality has brought him fans from all walks of life and demographics, through his TV and radio appearances, website and social media presence.

John Doyle is an actor, comedian and screenwriter, best known as ‘Rampaging Roy Slaven’ of Roy and HG fame (This Sporting Life, Club Buggery, The Dream). As a screenwriter, John’s credits include the acclaimed mini-series Changi and Marking Time, as well as the documentary series Two Men in a Tinnie and Two Men in the Top End, in which he sets out to explore the Australian outback with biologist Tim Flannery.

Melbourne four-piece band Oh Mercy comprises Alexander Gow, Thomas Savage, Eliza Lam & Rohan Sforcina. Their debut album Privileged Woes follows the success of their EP In The Nude For Love. Their idiosyncratic blend of quirky pop is built on a love of pop music and expressive vocals. They draw inspiration from music both old and new – from The Velvet Underground, to Bob Dylan.

Soweto Gospel Choir was formed to celebrate the unique and inspirational power of African Gospel music. The 52-strong choir, under the direction of Beverly Bryer, draws on the best talent from the many churches in and around Soweto. The choir is dedicated to sharing the joy of faith through music with audiences around the world.

It airs Wednesday April 27 at 8.30pm on ABC1.
