  1. Oh ok Thank You!! CharlesJ. So then thats weird that 35,000 people watched 1 single episode of The Cleveland Show on sunday night. Im not making fun of that i just can’t believe that 35,000 people watched The Cleveland Show on Fox8. Dont get me wrong i love The Cleveland Show i just can’t believe that!!! Go Fox8!! and Thank You again CharlesJ and you too David! Thank You!!!

  2. AFL will always rate lower because more games on free tv. Dilutes the audience. Anyway, afl will get more money because it delivers more content, and to a national audience

  3. @kon

The ratings above are for the highest rating single broadcast of each program. They do not count the +2 channel or extra broadcasts later in the week.

If you go through to the ASTRA Week 15 link you will see a column for B/cast & Plus2 total ratings, a column showing the total number of people watching PayTV at that time and a column for reach. Reach refers to the number of people who watched at least one minute of a program at anytime during the ratings week. Note that the ASTRA numbers are 5CityMetro plus the 4 top Regional markets and are only top 10 sports and non-sports. The top 100 above is 5CityMetro only.

  4. Hey David i want to know how does the ratings work like for example is WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown and the live NRL matches counted as when they 1st aired on wednesday, friday and saturday and etc: or are they counted as combined repeats. Thanks!!!

    1. Pay TV numbers are an average of their broadcasts, which usually means a number of playouts. It’s part of the reason they don’t like numbers being compared to FTA, which also has much wider access.
