Pay TV hoping for Logies luck

Some of Foxtel's biggest names were out in force last night talking up their shows -all except one wayward reality cast member.

Some of Foxtel’s biggest names were out in force last night as the subscription TV provider hosted a dinner at Crown for media.

In attendance were Sarah Murdoch, Charlotte Dawson, Peter Maddison, Justine Clarke, Sarah Wilson, Lee Furlong, Matt Shirvington, Laura Dundovic and Cloudstreet stars Steve Curry, Todd Lasance, Essie Davis and Hugo Johnstone-Burt.

TEN’s Lachlan Murdoch arrived later to join wife Sarah.

Director of Television Brian Walsh talked up Foxtel’s Logie nominees which include Foxtel coverage of the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi, Grand Designs Australia, SKY News, Camp Orange: Castle Mountain and Justine Clarke for Tangle. In a night that is dominated by Free to Air, and sponsored by Freeview, it will be most likely a big ask to take home a prize.

Also in attendance were several of the cast of the upcoming WAG Nation.

But when questioned by Walsh during the evening’s proceedings Terry Biviano disagreed with the show’s title, saying that while her castmates may be wives and girlfriends of sports stars the “WAG” term had some unpleasant connotations.

“So will this be Real Housewives of Football stars?” asked Walsh.

“No” repled Biviano.

If she’s as diplomatic in the show as she was about her boss then WAG Nation could be worth tuning in for.

  1. I didn’t hear or see any mentions of Spirited.
    ???
I understand that they left out Cops LAC but Spirited should have been recognised some way. Maybe the cast was there but we couldn’t “see” them hehehe
