  1. @ Trix. I fully understand your comment and i sort of agree with you. If her views on women in porn are aimed at teanage boys and young men than isnt that the responsibility of the parents to raise their males correctly, to show respect to the female gender. Why is it that it always comes down to certain industries having to self regulate. I know that the media is powerful and quite influensive on the young irrespective of gender, but i seriously think that families and parents should be educating their young no one else.

  5. @Armchair Analyst, I heard an interview with Gail Dines on Radio National yesterday and yes, she has some very strong opinions regarding pornography and the debasement of women, but interestingly, she talked more about its effects on boys and young men, particularly to do with desensitising them to quite violent and depraved images (aka gonzo porn) … definitely worth hearing what she has to say, even if you don’t agree with everything she says.

  7. Feminist anti-pornography academic and writer, Gail Dines. i can actually guess what she will say. Stop porn and give women board seats and burn more bras. This episode is going to be another cracker. Will watch it. Love this show.
