Airdate: Can of Worms. Returning: Law and Order: Criminal Intent

TEN's new chat show Can of Worms hosted by Ian "Dicko" Dickson will finally premiere next week.

TEN’s new chat show Can of Worms hosted by Ian “Dicko” Dickson will finally premiere at 8:30pm Monday July 4th.

There was some suggestion the show might air in a later timeslot due to its content, but that appears to have been re-thought.

Join host, Ian “Dicko” Dickson, and a panel of special guests as we ask Australia the curly questions of everyday life. There is no wrong answer, but be warned – you could open a Can Of Worms!

It will be followed by a new and rescheduled season of Law and Order: Criminal Intent at 9:30pm.

“Rispetto”
Detectives Goren and Eames return to the Major Case Squad to investigate the murder of a high-end prostitute. The clues lead them back to an unstable, hedonistic fashion designer.

  1. I don’t understand what qualifies Dickson to host a show like this. He’s all ego with average intelligence so why do I care what he has to say about anything.

  2. Here’s the thing – Offspring is practically my only appointment viewing all week and I loathe Dicko. So I am very annoyed with Ten. Feel sorry for the Offspring team. What do you have to do to get some respect from your network? Rivals Nine for dissing the dedicated fan. Tossers.

  3. Fearing this will be a flop…I like Dicko but I think he turns a lot of people off and the name is awful. I know that worms obviously have nothing to do with the show but I really think people have a gut reaction to a program’s name and that one does nothing to entice.

  4. I am looking forward to the show “Can of Worms” and also “Criminal Intent” as well, but I wish TEN would hurry up and bring back Good News Week because it is a great show and a lot of fun too.

  5. Does Offspring have 13 episodes this season or 22?

If I heard correctly there’s only 13, with a third season of 13 episodes to be rushed into production to air either later this year or early next year.

If thats the case, there’ll only be 3-5 episodes left of Offspring by the time Can of Worms premieres, so it won’t be on Wednesdays for very long.

  6. My god this is exactly the same scenario as City Homicide. Both rated brilliantly at 8.30 Sunday. Both were moved to Mondays where they still rated well. Then someone thought it would be smart to put City Homicide on Mondays and Wednesdays, just as Offspring is now. And if this is going Mondays, then that leaves Offspring 8.30 Wednesday. That move is what made City Homicide’s ratings drop and eventually killed it despite still being great quality and one of the best Aussie shows on tv. This is the fate Offspring has now. Network programmers have no brains.

  7. What’s happening to Offspring? They’re moving a ratings winner for a newbie? Come on!!!! It’ll move back to Monday’s when Carn of Worms flops. Monday was working brilliantly for Offspring.

  8. This show looks set for the scrap heap just like Lachlan Murdochs decision to not show AFL from next year which will also make TENS saturday night tv a ratings waste land.

  9. Argh. Just couldn’t think of anything worse. I bet they’ll probably have someone from Masterchef on that night to try and boost the ratings. I just can’t see this working. Its not my cup of tea.
