Big-budget family drama Conspiracy 365 begins filming

With a $13m budget, Conspiracy 365 is the single largest drama production ever commissioned for subscription television.

Principal photography commenced today on the $13m series Conspiracy 365, the single largest drama production ever commissioned for subscription television.

Based on the novels by Australian author Gabrielle Lord, the series is fully-funded by Movie Network Channels.

AFI-Award winning Australian actor Harrison Gilbertson (Beneath Hill 60, Blessed, Australian Rules) will play the lead role of ‘Cal Ormond’, who is forced to go on the run and become a fugitive as he searches for the truth behind a deadly family secret.

Also in the cast are Marny Kennedy (Mortified, The Saddle Club, A gURLs wURLd), David Whiteley (Red Stitch Theatre Company, The Hollowmen, Killer Elite), Julia Zemiro (RocKwiz), Rob Carlton (Paper Giants, My Place, Chandon Pictures), Kate Kendall (Matching Jack, The Librarians, Stingers), Ryan O’Kane (City Homicide) and newcomer Taylor Glockner, cast in the pivotal role of Cal’s best friend ‘Boges’.

The series is produced by Linda Klejus and Ann Darrouzet for Circa Entertainment with a 26-week shoot in Victoria.

Lead Director is Paul Goldman (Suburban Mayhem, The Night We Called It A Day) and Director of Photography is Laszlo Baranyai. Production Design by Tel Stolfo. Story Producers are industry veterans in their first collaboration, Michael Brindley and Mark Shirrefs, and Writers are Sam Carroll, Kristen Dunphy, Shanti Gudgeon, Julie Lacy, Michael Miller, Michelle Offen and Kris Wyld plus soundtrack by Tamil Rogeon and Ryan Ritchie (The Raah Project).

Emmy-winning Digital Producers Hoodlum Entertainment will develop the multi-platform strategy across mobile, web-based video platforms and social networks. 

The series will be broadcast on FMC the Family Movie Channel from January with one chapter a month, reflecting the nature of the monthly-themed novels.

  1. Can’t wait for this, however, so many people don’t have the Movie Network Channels and it will probably end up like Cloudstreet – wasted

  2. Sounds like a interesting show.Very clever of them to show one episode a month making sure you have your Movie Network channels for a whole year…Mmmm not to sure if i can do that….
