Dancing spotlight over for Brynne Edelsten

Dancing with the Stars lost its most-talked about contestant on Sunday after Brynne Edelsten was eliminated from the show.

Dancing with the Stars lost its most-talked about contestant last night after Brynne Edelsten was eliminated from the show.

AFter a night of rock and roll dancing, the socialite found herself in the bottom two, alongside Lara Bingle, after receiving the lowest score of the night for her Paso Doble.

“I loved the entire experience,” Edelsten said. “It was a privilege to be part of this show. My dance partner Arsen [Kishishian] is amazing. He’s been my rock. I want to keep dancing. It’s so much fun.”

Edelsten’s inclusion in the show was seen as an audacious casting move by Seven, given she had yet to demonstrate many credits to her name, but previous contestants, including Pauline Hanson in the first series, have used the show to show another side to their personality and win audience support. After Edelsten was blasted by judges in her early appearances her ability to smile through it all became an asset.

Plenty of media were also talking about her after a misfired gag from Sonia Kruger.

Next week’s show will include a performance by Jamaican-born singer Wynter Gordon.

  1. Totatally laughable!!! Bad televison at its worst!! How are any of these people “Stars” in the true sense???? This show should be put to rest now. It stints and how it stinks!!!!!

  2. How can anyone think that she is Adorable?
With a severe lack of any talent, that annoying voice and what appears to be fake body parts…

    This show seriously lacks Stars.
Her claim to fame is that she married a failed doctor.

  3. She’s adorable, a very sweet girl and we haven’t seen the last of her. I predict a reality series in the vein of “Real Housewives” involving the Edelsten’s.

    1. Exactly. For that matter why wasn’t the story about Four Corners cattle exports considered a Spoiler for those that hadn’t watched that too? This is a fundamental of the blog. Aired content = up for discussion, regardless of genre.

  4. I flicked across last night just before Brynne’s dance sequence began and decided to watch … okay, ‘dance’ is being kind. Honestly, I’ve seen some people making moves on the dance floor that look more like they’re possessed by some kind of evil being, but I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed anything quite like the stilted, semi-frozen robotics that were her performance. I’m almost sorry to see her go.
