Renewed: The Amazing Race

Just months after being renewed for a 19th season, CBS has now renewed The Amazing Race to a 20th season.

Just months after being renewed for a 19th season, CBS has now renewed The Amazing Race to a 20th season, to air in the US Spring in 2012.

The 19th season, which was greenlit in March, will screen in the US Fall this year. The show normally has two seasons per year.

Last month host Phil Keoghan signed a multiyear deal to continue with the show and to be credited as a co-executive producer, as wekk as developing content for the network.

  1. @pete I agree @david im not so sure. That show would cost a small fortune to produce and i just cant see 1 million mark being enough economically to suistan it.

  2. Australian version has been the best series I can remember. It has been fantastic and is a little disappointing more people aren’t watching.

  3. At the start, it was always in danger of being caught in Survivor’s shadow, but the show has thrived… oh and those Emmys didn’t hurt either.

    How do you see the Australian versions performance? Even though it’s breaking through the magical million I think seven will be disappointed due to the expensive nature of producing the show. Do you think there is any real chance it will be rejnewed? I don’t watch the American version but have found myself enjoying thr Aussie version.
