Which shows do US media think were snubbed by the Emmy nominations?

According to US critics, anything with a supernatural theme. True Blood, The Walking Dead and Fringe were all overlooked in major categories.

And some previous winners including Bryan Cranston and Kyra Sedgwick didn’t even land a nomination this year.

  1. Castle also recieved no noms. While I don’t think the entire run deserved an emmy, there was some outstanding acting the last season, particularly in the s3 finale. (Not that we have seen that here yet. hmph.)

  2. Aubrey plaza for supporting actress in a comedy.nick offerman…community cast.will never be nominated but anything to do with children’s hospital

  3. I enjoyed Fringe but it prob wasn’t quite good enough to get up against some of the others (Sons of Anarchy of Anarchy should have, tho’). However, John Noble def deserved a nom – he was excellent in the last series, playing two almost mirror-image characters. Thought Anna Torv was good, too.

Toni Collette and Katy Sagan should have gotten nods as well, as should The Big C.

  4. Goes to show how lazy voters are. I was really disappointed that Hugh Laurie got nominated for a terrible season of House.

Though I am really angry with some of the lead actress in a drama series nominees, Kathy Bates, Mariska Hargitay and Mireille Enos (The Killing is one of the worst shows I have seen) should not have been nominated.

No love for Community, Nick Offerman (Parks and Rec) or Sons of Anarchy……..Groan!

Though I am pleased that Steve Carell, Friday Night Lights and Justified got nominations. I guess that’s something.

  5. Kadee Strickland from Private Practice. Her performance this year when it came to the rape episode was top notch. She should be there but because of the stupid people who are narrowminded TV watchers and imo don’t give the other shows a shot. I mean Good Wife supporting actresses have done very little this season and yet she pulls out one of the performances of the year. Sorry but the emmys are rigged and should be pulled because they wouldn’t know talent if it slapped them in the face.

Oh and Glee nominated for Comedy? Its a Musical Drama. Belongs in the drama section of the Emmy’s. The Globes state Musical/Comedy. Big difference.

  6. There’s certain shows that get snubbed every year that always get people up in arms – Fringe and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are two of the big ones, I think. No different this year.

Most of the fresh complaints I’ve read have been about The Walking Dead, Community and the entire Best Supporting Male Actor in a Comedy category, which was missing Nick Offerman and someone – anyone! – from Community, at the very least.

Personally, the general lack of Community is my biggest beef.

  7. Harry Shearer – not nominated again this year in the voice over category, and has never won! He is the only member of the Simpsons team to have never received an Emmy. He should be in the Hall of Fame! Family Guy overlooked again except in some music category. After creating history two years ago to be the first animated show since The Flinstones to be up for Outstanding Comedy series, and isn’t even up for the Outstanding Animated series – but Cleveland and Futurama are!
