The new season of Man vs Wild gets underway in the US soon and has been reported, it features actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

In this preview clip he faces his moment of truth. Yikes.

  1. Damn I missed that Peter (David where were you? LOL) anyone know if ABC re-runs them on ABC2 or when they will be on UKTV, just check and nothing for the next week. There are parts on YouTube but not much.

  4. Bear Grylls was talking about this on the Graham Norton Show on ABC2 last Thursday night. Curt Wagner wrote about it in yesterday’s (Tue Jul 5) Kansas City Star (as below):
    Grylls takes Gyllenhaal on a two-day jaunt through brutal Icelandic terrain of mountains, glaciers and active volcanoes. On a recent episode of “The Graham Norton Show,” Grylls said that while they were in Iceland, the area suffered the worst storms in 10 years.
    “We had a jumbo jet blow sideways across the airfield,” he said. “Both of us were being blown like tumbleweeds.”
    Grylls talked about how Gyllenhaal’s handlers, and the insurance people, asked him if he could guarantee the stars’ safety. He told them he couldn’t.
    “Nobody’s ever asked me that,” Grylls joked. But, he said, Gyllenhaal “was brilliant.”

  7. Will Ferrell has previously done this and Cameron Diaz has expressed interest in doing it. Now if only the Diaz one included stripping down to cross a river or some tropical location.

    I think Discovery here has first dibs on this, then SBS.
