Wilfred at Comic-Con

It's doggie heaven as Jason Gann is surrounded by a pack of Wilfred lookalikes at Comic-Con in the US.

When you have as many devoted fans as this, it’s a pretty good sign that Wilfred is working in the US.

Jason Gann joined Elijah Wood and Showrunner David Zuckerman for a Wilfred panel at Comic-Con.

“It’s so rare to work with another actor where you feel safe,” Gann said. “To be in this dog suit can turn to crap pretty quick but it felt like [Elijah Wood] and I were from the same kind of family of acting. He’s very truthful and that’s what I try and bring to the character.”

Zuckerman teased that future episodes might shift from being told from Ryan’s point of view.

“We may in future episodes take some different approaches to storytelling,” he said. “I think you can expect the unexpected if we’re doing our job right.”

Meanwhile in this red-carpet clip Gann shows how he has familiarised himself with the local language, even using the Americanised “ass.”

  1. Another great pic, David. The US show is really good and different enough from the original without wrecking what was good about it. No doubt in no small part thanks to Gann being on-board.
