Nine locks onto Celebrity Apprentice Australia

You knew it was coming. Nine has greenlit a series of Celebrity Apprentice Australia to be fronted by Mark Bouris.

As previously tipped, Nine has greenlit a series of Celebrity Apprentice Australia to be fronted by Mark Bouris (The Apprentice Australia).

Produced once again by FremantleMedia Australia, it will feature well-known and controversial celebrities raising money for charities.

The top prize is $100,000 for the winning ‘celebrity apprentice’ for their charity.

Bouris appeared in the only Aussie format of The Apprentice in 2009 but since then Nine has invested in his wealth management company Yellow Brick Road while FremantleMedia has signed with Mark Burnett’s company to produce more local versions of his format. It was really only a matter of time before a new series was formalised.

Nine says of the new series, “Celebrity Apprentice Australia will feature intriguing people in completely different circumstances than you have ever seen them in before.”

Casting suggestions please, people?

  1. Totally loved the last apprentice show I was so addicted!!! Mark Bouris too Is so friggin hot!!!! This show would be great, i cant wait!!!! Let’s not criticize unless we watch it first! Bring it on…

  2. Bouris is the sexiest of all Apprentice hosts around world then comes Alan Sugar in the UK. Donald Trump in the US, has horrible hair.

    Julia in the USA

  3. Strewth! Aussie Apprentice, yes. Celebrity, hell no!!!
    However, would love to see:
    Dylan Moran
    Devon from Masterchef S2
Bajo from Good Game (he wouldn’t last 2 seconds but he’d be funny)
James from The New Inventors (he’s looking for work now, folks!)
    Grant Bowler (a Channel 7 property, I know…)
    Richard Kingsmill (Triple J)
    Patience (The Grates)
    Jana Wendt
Pauline Hanson (more public humiliation = great television!)
Tracey Grimshaw (let’s see if she really is as one dimensional as ACA portrays her to be)
Hayley Mills (Biggest Loser host – reckon she’d be a stealthy and underestimated achiever)

  4. Why do I get the feeling that “intriguing” is the very last word we will use to describe the D-grade celebs who will inevitably get lined up for this?
