Reef Doctors paging Lisa McCune

Lisa McCune's new project Reef Doctors is also the first foray into primetime for kid's TV producer Jonathan M. Shiff.

Lisa McCune’s new project for Network TEN, Reef Doctors, will see her take on a producing role with production company Jonathan M. Shiff productions (Elephant Princess, H20 Just Add Water, Thunderstone, Ocean Girl, Cybergirl).

It marks the first foray into primetime drama for Jonathan M. Shiff.

The action adventure series is partly funded by Screen Queensland and ZDF Enterprises and when it had the working title of Hope’s Reef there were plans to film around Port Douglas.

In the series set on a small island McCune is believed to play a doctor with a 15 year old son.

McCune has been mentored into producing under Shiff.

She recently told TV Tonight, “Now that I’m a bit older and confident I’m a bit more willing to take a risk. I’ve optioned a book (The Diary of Jimmy Porter), and there’s a play that I’d like to option. I’ve got a lot of people who are giving me good advice. No matter what comes of it, it adds to my sensibilities as an actor to know what goes on on the other side of the camera.”

Her other project, feature The Diary of Jimmy Porter will be directed by Nadia Tess, set in the outback in 1927.
