The Block continued its powerful run last night chalking up 1.7m viewers for its one hour episode. Despite no longer renovating, it showed it is on track to deliver a big finale on Sunday night.
Between 7-8pm nothing else came close to touching it. At 8pm The Big Bang Theory also led with 1.1m.
Home And Away scored 1.07m, ABC News was 913,000 and The 7PM Project was 652,000.
Wild And Woolly: An Elephant And His Sheep was 908,000, 7.30 / Australian Story was 693,000 / 991,000 (a big difference between the two shows), The Renovators was 670,000 and Mythbusters was 294,000.
Nine also won a close tussle at 8:30pm with Rescue Special Ops (889,000) over Four Corners / Media Watch (883,000 / 774,000), Body Of Proof (830,000) and Can Of Worms (789,000) punched above its lead-in. The return of Swift And Shift Couriers was SBS’s best for the night on 302,000.
The Block couples also lifted Hot Seat to 767,000 over Deal or No Deal on 600,000.
Q & AÂ (647,000) won at 9:30pm while Suits (383,000) hasn’t begun so well for Seven.
Neighbours (377,000) was the top show on multichannels.
Nine has won its second night this week.

its amazing that so many people can watch the block (including myself) even though its such a bad show. Nine treats viewers badly with the over dramatisations of non-events to episodes where the only thing that occurs is repeated clips sandwiched between reflections! so frustrating
would u realy by one of these block houses nothing good comes from something done that quik
Good to see Q&A still going strong in its time slot — who says Australians aren’t interested in politics? 😉
Vinny saw it online today it was a complete beatup the only faults they found were a little painting, a loose towell rail and loose door handles. A few things that needed to be cleaned (stickers on windows) Are seven that jealous or hardup.
Agree with Knowfirst re Trash Tonight.
I don’t suppose Wild and Wooly wil be aired on 72 or 7Mate? I meant to PVR it but it stuffed up.
Did anyone else notice Nine slipping a sneak peek of Underbelly into the last ad break of RSO, did they have it’s own ratings points?
When is SBS going to bring back new Mythbusters?
The only “faults” are the 1.2m or so idiots per night who watch Trash Tonight.
I can not understand why so many people are watching the block. I am told Sunday night was an hour of people running around in a maze???
Did anyone see Today Tonight last night and the story about all the “faults” in the units on The Block ?
It is amazing. I watch the block. Not much actually even happens. god knows how little content will be in this weeks shows. Look like Charlie Sheens meltdown worked out well for the network
Seven will be counting down the days until Packed To The Rafters return.
