East West 101 has been picked up for broadcast by Franco-German culture channel Arte.
Arte has picked up season one of the crime series for broadcast in France and Germany in spring 2012.
The series produced by Knapman-Wyld ended its trilogy on SBS earlier this year, with a swag of awards under its belt.
All three seasons have also recently sold to Acht (Belgium) and Kanal 2 (Estonia), while the third season has been picked up by Maori TV (New Zealand).
Hannah Worrall, director of sales at distributor Target, told C21: “Buyers are currently looking for complex, yet riveting drama and the highly acclaimed East West 101 more than delivers. Arte is a great home for this modern police thriller and we are pleased to be reaching new audiences in France and Germany.”
Last month Target also picked up distribution rights to Screentime’s Cloudstreet, set to air on BSkyB’s Sky Atlantic.

It is a tiny arts pan broadcaster.
The sale is in line with their other with Maori TV!
It’s a shame that both French and German audiences will see it butchered with dubbing.
Belgium and the Netherlands residents will be luckier, if they ever get it – they’ll have subtitles.
Seems fair. SBS would be off-air for most of the day if it wasn’t for all their Arte programming & co-productions.
Totally brilliant series….shame it has ended….
