New Idea returns to TV

Seven's Pacific Magazines title New Idea returns to television with a new series, New Idea Test Kitchen.

More branded content for Seven with the announcement of its Pacific Magazines title New Idea returning to television with a new series, New Idea Test Kitchen.

New Idea previously aired as a format known as New Idea TV last year.

New Idea Test Kitchen will feature cookery and craft from the magazine on both 7TWO and Seven for 6 weeks from November.

Each episode will include recipes, seasonal food selection, and cooking tips for Christmas and summer entertaining. But there is no hint of cover story subjects being featured or expanded.

Nick Chan, CEO, Pacific Magazines said, “This one-of-a-kind program will bring more than 100 years of New Idea’s cooking
expertise to life, and allow New Idea to become a completely integrated brand, reaching more Australians than ever before with content spanning print, television and online.”

Kim Wilson, Editor in Chief, New Idea added: “We know how passionate our readers are about food and cooking, so we’re thrilled to bring the pages to life and be able to offer yet another way for Australians to feast on the magazine’s content in this
dynamic format.”

No word yet on presenters.

  1. Man that pie looks great, wish i was eating it right now. Anyway this show could work if it was only on 7Two which is the lifestyle/BBC of australian FTA. I think we have a bit too much cooking shows .

  2. Why, that is my Grandma’s apple pie recipe!

I’m so flattered–and she would be so delighted. She lived a good long life (almost to 100 yrs) and was baking almost til the end! 🙂

Keep up the great work, David.
