TEN News: “We seem to have gremlins in the system.”

Adelaide news presenter Belinda Heggen tried once, twice, three times to throw to a story -but the darned vision just wouldn't budge.

Yesterday sure wasn’t the best of days for TEN’s Adelaide news presenter Belinda Heggen.

After opening with a still frame (and no theme music) the video for the first story refused to play.

“We seem to be having trouble with that story. We’ll bring it to you when we can,” she said before moving to a second story.

But the vision for the second story wouldn’t roll either.

“No we apologise again to you for that delay. We’ll bring that to you when we can.”

She moved onto the third story. Still no luck.

So Heggen was forced to throw to a commercial break.

After the ads it was back to the still image once more.

“Apologies to you, we seem to have gremlins in the system this evening. We’ll try again.”

Heggen is the same presenter who attracted international attention with her on-air dig at the manhood of sports presenter Mark Aiston.

  1. Belinda did a great job, just goes to show how proffesional she is. I enjoy her news reading she is by far the best in SA. I too agree that she should get an attempt on a national bulliten. As for those gremlins could it be because of those cost cuts that Lachlan made? Although i do still mis George Donikian.

  2. Perth news had a similar problem a few months ago. They’ve also had problems with the weather forecast for the week where the temps won’t load properly.
