Next week Seven premieres the Above Suspicion, a 2010 ITV series written by Lynda La Plante.
As a sequel to 2009’s Above Suspicion, the three-episode series stars Kelly Reilly as DC Anna Travis. A third season aired in the UK in January.
The series is described as a younger, sassier successor to Prime Suspect.
The body of a young woman is found and DC Anna Travis, the investigating officer, soon finds that the dead girl was Louise Penal and begins to sift through her life. When a reporter is sent letters divulging details of the case, she is led to discover the killing is a copycat of a case many years before, the Black Dahlia case, where the killer was never caught, and two more victims may be yet to follow.
9:30pm Wednesday October 26 on Seven.
