Grant Bowler to appear in Good Christian Bitches

Grant Bowler has landed a two-episode role on upcoming US drama Good Christian Bitches.

Grant Bowler is a busy boy.

Having just completed Nine’s new telemovie The Great Mint Swindle (formerly known as Sundowner), he has landed a (minimum) two-episode role on upcoming US drama Good Christian Bitches.  That’s in addition to his hosting of The Amazing Race Australia, and presumably narration for Border Security.

Good Christian Bitches (Seven is sticking with the original title, unlike GCB in the US), will see Bowler playing Mason Massey, a “frozen foods magnate and thoroughbred horse breeder.” Sparks fly when he meets with Cricket (Miriam Shor) to negotiate stud fee for his prize horse.

The show has also cast another True Blood face, Kevin Alejandro, as a local butcher who offers to supply meat for a local restaurant in the show.

  1. What a shame channel 7 has to show a programme with such an anti christian title after such good family shows like “Packed to the rafters”. I hope it fails badly.

  2. From my Agricultural days, I remember that feeding swill to pigs was appreciated geaty by the people getting rid of the trash and the pigs eating it.
It was greatly popular. Still didn’t make it anything other than ‘Swill’.
p.s. Loved the comment about calling the show by the other name M….m Bitches. Try that and see how far that gets!

  3. I bet if the show was called ‘Good Muslim Bitches’ there’d be an uproar; death threats & riots around the world – come on Christians make a stand!

  4. I’m glad they keeping the original name. I’m sick of the Helen Lovejoy’s (“Won’t someone please think of the children”) in this world ruining things. Not everything is for kids.

  5. So it’s just up to the affiliate to choose what the name of the show is? That in itself is hilarious…

I wonder if Nine pondered whether or not to really call their show Shit My Dad Says..
